Looking Back on 2023 and Forward to 2024
And that’s a wrap on 2023! As we wrap up the old year and ring in the new, we like to look back on some of our favorite moments from the past year, and favorite projects. Here are the highlights…

We’ve moved, Chicago! Into a new office, that is.
It’s official! Our Chicago video production team has moved into a new office, and our Business Development Officer, Wyatt (pictured), couldn’t be happier…
Looking Back on 2022 and Forward to 2023
And, that’s a wrap on 2022! As we look forward to what’s next, we always like to reminisce on the past. 2022 was filled with lots of travel and amazing collaboration. Here are the highlights…
BTS with Hike: OPEN WATER
Our collaboration with Open Water, a Chicago-based, women-owned brand (just like us!) is one of our recent faves. Here’s a recap.
BTS with Hike: Saugatuck Brewing Co.
We had a blast collaborating with Saugatuck Brewing Co. this past summer for the brewery’s brand film. Here’s a look at the behind the scenes of our shoot.
BTS with Hike: Boston 2022
Our team kicked off the year with another trip to one of our favorite cities, Boston, where we were excited to partner with Geist Films and Jack Morton to produce video content for Sanofi.
Hike founder, Megan St. John, answers Five Questions with Screen Magazine
Our founder and EP, Megan St. John, was interviewed by Screen Magazine in December. The interview was part of the magazine’s “Five Questions” column and included production and non-production related questions.
Looking Back on 2021 and Forward to 2022
And, that’s a wrap on 2021! As we look forward to what’s next, we always like to reminisce on the past. 2021 was filled with great new partnerships and a bit of travel. Here are the highlights…
What we’ve been up to: July 2021
We love being on set and are so thankful that 2021 has been filled with so many fun and rewarding projects, but we also think it’s important to take time every now and then to pop off our production hats, indulge in a slushie cocktail, and relax. Here’s a look at what our team has been up to this summer when we are not behind the camera.
BTS with Hike: Equilibria
As a woman-owned business, we were excited to partner with Equilibria, a by-women-for-women CBD company. Founded by powerhouse duo Marcy Capron Vermillion and Coco Meers, Equilibria has an amazing backstory, and we couldn’t wait to help them tell it. Together with EQ, we developed a suite of how-to videos illustrating how to use their most popular CBD products. Afterwards, we regrouped and planned out their brand film.
BTS with Hike: Heidenhain Engineering
We loved collaborating with the talented creatives at LoSasso Integrated Marketing for our Heidenhain video. A lot of love (and VFX) went into this narrative brand film. If you haven’t seen it, you might want to give it a watch!
BTS with Hike: Boston 2021
We capped off our February with Hike’s very first travel shoot of the year! We were really excited to partner with Geist Films and Nteractive to produce video content for New Balance.
Looking Back on 2020, and Forward to 2021
2020 was an interesting year not only for our team, but for the world. Change, heartache, and stress are some of the first words that come to mind when you think about it, but when we look back, we are thankful for the beautiful moments and relationships we were able to build – and for the exciting projects, too.
Jayco “50 Years and Still Fun” Wins a Telly
We’re excited to announce that the Jayco “50 Years and Still Fun” spot we produced with LoSasso Integrated Marketing has won a Telly Award!

Staying Safe on Set in the Midst of COVID-19
After a long but necessary quarantine, we at Hike are thrilled to see production pick up again! Though we’re excited to be back on set, we still want to take extra precautions to protect our loved ones and prevent a second wave, so here are some (but not all) of the ways we plan to keep safe on set…
Flashback Friday: Our Team, on Set
One of the hardest things for us to adjust to in this new working from home environment has been working from home – and not working on set. But Flashback Friday is still a thing, right? If so, then today we’d like to share some of our favorite moments from the past when our team has been together – telling stories and doing what we love, on set.
Navigating COVID-19: Staying Connected with Your Team
With many cities across the country practicing Shelter in Place, many of us have spent the last few weeks working from home. And with the current COVID-19 environment being so fluid and at times uncertain, working from home is something that we will be doing for the duration of the quarantine. Working from home is not easy. It’s hard to stay motivated and you start to feel isolated when you don’t see your team face to face every day. Over the last few weeks, our team has discovered a few ways to stay connected and spark creativity remotely.
Navigating COVID-19, Together
This is an interesting time for our fellow friends in the film community. COVID-19 has halted most productions across the country, whether they be commercial, television, or narrative projects, and that has left a lot of the industry’s freelancers out of work for an unforeseeable amount of time.
